A Typical Day on The Tour
5:00 a.m Morning Alarm -Get up and Get Ready!
5:30 a.m Check emails, follow up with clients (work).
6:15 a.m. Breakfast
7:15 a.m. Load luggage, pump tires, check bike, and start riding.
Mid-morning SAG (Support & Gear) stop. Fill up on PowerBars and Perform Ironman Drink.
Noon Lunch. Seek out a small café and get to know the locals. Check Blackberry (work).
Mid Afternoon Second SAG, The number of miles and services
available will dictate the number of SAG’s each day. Typically, rides longer
than 85 miles will have 2 SAG stops to keep you fueled and hydrated.
Late Afternoon Arrival at the next hotel. Sign-in, have a drink, a snack, and a shower. Check in with my office and follow up with clients and projects. Thanks to Kelly and Betty ( my assistants ) for keeping everything on track.
5:45 p.m. Route Rap will be held nightly just before dinner. Description of next days ride.
6:00 p.m. Dinner and Carbo-loading
8:00 Write blog..answer emails and call the lovely Mrs Anderson.
9:00 p.m. Time to sleep! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…
